"Alma Rosé is personally close to my heart because she represents an extremely well-educated woman, a woman with organizational skills, an excellent musician who was able to stand up even in the worst conditions and create and lead a women's orchestra in the prison that literally saved lives," says Silvie Hess. "Our goal was not to overwhelm the viewer with biographical facts, but to create a scene that makes them think and hits their emotions," adds the music director.
