První část komponovaného večera nabídne fragment z divadelní hry …because of Alma (režie Jaroslava Šiktancová, autorka textů a scénáře Martina Kinská, hudební režie Silvie Hessová), ve kterém se představí herečka Anna Brousková společně se smyčcovým souborem Alma Ansámbl, v druhé zazní skladby Viktora Ullmanna a Gideona Kleina.
Fragment hry představuje nejen osud Almy Rosé, kdy se ze slavné rakouské houslistky, evropské hudební celebrity první poloviny 20. století, deportované v roce 1943 do Osvětimi – Březinky, stává houslistka a dirigentka osvětimského ženského orchestru, ale i osud Terezínského rodinného tábora, který je tragickou součástí našich dějin. Právě v Terezíně skladatelé Viktor Ullmann a Gideon Klein napsali obě skladby, které zazní v druhé části večera.
Silvie (violin) and Dominika (cello) are two of the foremost musical personalities of their generation, and during their studies and early concert careers they were fortunate to meet extraordinary artists and ensembles such as M. Rostropovich, I. Oistrach, P. Schreier, S. Stucky, Amadeus Quartet, Jerusalem Quartet and other world music personalities who influenced their further musical development.
Their common interest in the history of the first half of the 20th century is reflected in the selection of compositions they present to their listeners.
In addition to their core works for string duo, they also focus on works by composers of Jewish descent who were victims of the Holocaust, which is why they named their duo after the composer Gideon Klein.
